How much notice do you need to order a cake?
We recommend you allow at least 3 weeks when ordering cakes. Wedding cakes and other more complicated cakes may require more time. Please note there are a limited number of cake bookings we are able to take each week, so to avoid disappointment, we recommend you contact us as soon as you can to book your cake in.
Do I have to make an appointment to order a cake?
Appointments may be made to discuss your cake requirements in person. However, if it is more convenient, I am also happy to discuss your cake requirements over the phone or via email.
Can I order a cake design that is not in your gallery?
Of course. All of our cakes are custom made to suit you. If you have a cake design in mind, feel free to send or bring in any pictures, ideas, colour schemes or themes you have. Based on these, I will aim to create the perfect cake for you.
Where are you located?
We are in Cheltenham, Victoria. Appointments may be made to discuss your cake requirements in person.
Do you have a shopfront?
No. This is a home based business with a fully registered kitchen. All products are custom made to order and not available on a walk in basis.
Can you deliver?
Yes, we offer a delivery service for cakes over $150 for a small fee depending on location. Delivery is only offered within the Melbourne metropolitan area and must be specified when placing the order.
Do you have a dedicated gluten-free kitchen?
Immense care is taken to avoid cross contamination of allergens in my kitchen. Although it is not a dedicated gluten free, egg free or dairy free kitchen, baking is scheduled so all gluten free cakes are baked on separate days. Metal or glass bowls and utensils are used when preparing any allergy friendly cake and all items are cleaned thoroughly between each use. Gluten free, dairy free and egg free cakes are stored separately and decorated at different times to all other cakes. Please be aware that our cakes are made in a kitchen containing gluten, eggs and dairy.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
A 50% non refundable deposit is required when booking a cake. This allows us to start any preparation required for your cake such as ordering or making items that may be needed.
How big is a dessert serve and a coffee serve?
A coffee serve is approximately 1" x 1" x height of the cake and a dessert serve is approximately 1" x 2" x height of the cake.
